Stage 2 · after the launch · per app, per month

Property management for your app.

You own it. We run it. You never think about it again. LaunchPilot got your app approved — AutoPilot keeps it updated, compliant, answered, and live, year after year.

The quiet failure modes

Your app is never finished. The stores make sure of it.

Nothing here is hypothetical — it's the annual weather of running an app. Every one of these is invisible until the week it isn't.

EVERY FALL

A new OS ships

Apple releases a major iOS every September, Google follows with Android. Apps that aren't rebuilt against current SDKs break subtly, then visibly — and both stores push minimum-target requirements that eventually block your updates entirely.

CONTINUOUS

Dependencies rot

The SDKs your generator wired in keep moving: security advisories, deprecated APIs, breaking releases. An untouched lockfile ages like milk — and the fix is cheap this month, expensive in eighteen.

ANNUAL

Things expire

Apple Developer membership, distribution certificates, Play agreements, tax and banking forms. Miss one renewal and your app can vanish from sale — with the warning email sitting in a folder you stopped checking.

WEEKLY

Reviews go unanswered

Ratings decay when nobody responds, and review replies are a ranking signal. Worse: reviews are where "the app crashes on the new iPhone" shows up first — silence means you learn about it months late.

UNSCHEDULED

Policy sweeps

Both stores periodically re-check the catalog: new privacy requirements, data-safety form changes, stale-app removal sweeps. "Your app will be removed from sale" emails have a deadline — someone has to be watching.

THE POINT

You built it. Don't babysit it.

Every item on this list is routine for someone who does it across many apps, and a research project for someone who does it once a year. That arbitrage is the whole service.

Launching with LaunchPilot? Ask about the done-for-you bundle: launch + 12 months of Managed as a single engagement — approved this month, maintained through next fall's OS release, one decision total.

Emergencies (app removed from sale, critical crash spike) jump the queue on every tier. Work beyond a tier's scope is quoted in writing before it happens — no surprise invoices.

The September Package

Apple's new iOS lands every fall, and the apps that break are the ones nobody test-built over the summer. This is a one-time release-readiness check for apps not on an AutoPilot plan:

  • Your app test-built and run against the new iOS before it ships to your users' phones
  • Dependency & deprecated-API scan with a prioritized fix list
  • Certificate, agreement & membership expiry audit
  • Store policy pass — anything with a deadline gets flagged in writing

FAQ

The questions that matter.

Who owns the app?
You do — same rule as LaunchPilot, no exceptions. The app lives in your Apple and Google developer accounts and your code stays in your repo. We work as an invited user with the access maintenance actually requires (Admin in App Store Connect, since certificates and agreements can't be managed with less), and you can revoke it any day. Cancel, remove our access, and everything keeps running exactly as it is — you were never dependent on us.
What counts as an emergency?
Anything where the app is effectively down for users or gone from the store: removed from sale, a rejection on a critical update, a crash spike after an OS release, expired credentials blocking everything. Emergencies jump the queue on every tier and get a same-day response. A feature idea on Friday night is not an emergency — it goes in the next cycle, and on Full Service that cycle is never far away.
What's out of scope?
New feature development beyond the tier's allotment (Managed covers minor fixes; Full Service covers quarterly small features), redesigns, backend rebuilds, and marketing beyond ASO. When something you ask for is out of scope, you get a written quote before any work happens — never a surprise invoice. If your app needs product-level work, that's an honest conversation and a separate engagement, not a padded retainer.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Month to month, cancel with a click of a reply, effective at the end of the paid month. No contracts, no wind-down fees. You keep every build, credential, and document — they were always in your accounts anyway. The only thing we'd ask: cancel in August, not September, or at least let us ship the fall OS rebuild first. Apps that leave are welcome back; the re-onboarding check is the September Package.
